Both are made from 100% long-staple cotton, but their weave is different. Percale (120 threads/cm²) is light, matte and cool to the touch. Satin (200 threads/cm²) has a denser, tighter weave, which gives it that characteristic silky and enveloping feel, as well as a subtly lustrous appearance that elevates any bedroom. If you tend to feel cold at night or are looking for a very soft, cocooning sensation, satin is made for you.
No, as long as you follow a few simple rules. Wash your satin set between 30°C and 40°C, with a gentle liquid detergent and a spin cycle at 800 rpm. Prefer air drying to preserve the fibers and the fabric's sheen. If you wish to iron it, do so on the reverse side at a maximum of 110°C. Like all our materials, satin becomes softer with each wash.
Yes, and that's completely normal. Our cotton satin naturally becomes more matte with each wash. This is not a defect: it's simply the natural evolution of this material, which transitions from a subtly lustrous finish to a more matte appearance, equally beautiful. The softness and comfort remain entirely intact.
