Our collection
Percale is a fabric made from 100% long-staple cotton, woven very tightly. At Bonsoirs, our percale is woven at 120 threads/cm², compared to an average of 80 threads/cm² on the market. It's this dense weave that gives it its characteristic matte appearance, its lightness and that sensation of instant coolness when you slip into bed. Like a hotel, but better.
If you tend to feel hot at night, percale is your material. Light, breathable and cool to the touch, it regulates temperature well and dries very quickly after washing. It's also perfect for those who love a crisp, neat bed with that matte and elegant appearance that dresses a bedroom without overwhelming it. If you prefer a more enveloping and silky sensation, our cotton satin might be a better fit.
Percale is one of the easiest materials to care for. Wash it between 30°C and 40°C, with a gentle liquid detergent, on a moderate spin cycle at 800 rpm. It can go in the dryer without any issue, at moderate temperature. If you wish to iron it, always do so on the reverse side at a maximum of 110°C. Good news: the more you wash your percale, the softer it becomes and the less it needs ironing.
Our percale cotton duvet covers have an envelope closure, also known as a chimney or tuck-in flap. The flap is 40 cm long, which allows for optimal hold under the mattress without buttons or a zipper. Setup is simple and the final result is crisp and neat. Our fitted sheets feature full-perimeter elastic, not just at the corners, for a perfect fit regardless of your mattress thickness.
