93% natural materials
At Bonsoirs, we endeavour to avoid petrochemical-based materials whenever possible, replacing them as soon as we can with recycled alternatives. We apply exacting standards every day to the sourcing and traceability of our materials: 93% come from carefully selected natural fibres. The remaining 7% partly consist of recycled fibres, chosen to the same rigorous criteria.

CONTROLLED TRACEABILITY
Long before the AGEC law on textile traceability, Bonsoirs established a system that discloses the origin of its materials with full transparency. We work, whenever possible, with local partners — spinners, weavers, finishers, and manufacturers — selected for their craftsmanship and exacting standards.
Thus, our linen is French, as are our down and feathers. Cotton, by contrast, needs a warm, sunny, fertile climate to grow. That is why we source from the major cotton-producing countries, collaborate with Turkey for our bath linens, and work with India for part of our bed linens, a country renowned for the richness of its textile techniques and the quality of its craftsmanship.

Chosen for their craftsmanship and the quality of their products, and assessed on environmental and social criteria, we select each of our partners with care. Most have been with us since our inception. We work directly, without intermediaries, with heads of production, and we commit year‑round to ensuring a steady production schedule.

WORKSHOPS CHOSEN WITH CARE
We choose our workshops first and foremost for their craftsmanship, to ensure the finest quality in every product. Our Bedding is entirely made in France, a global benchmark for this craft. Our percale and our sateen are produced in France, Portugal, and India. Every step of production takes place in carefully selected workshops that share our exacting standards. Our washed percale sheets, washed linen, cotton gauze items, and baby and children's Bedding are produced in Portugal at the country's oldest specialized workshop, with over a century of know-how. Finally, our bath linens are crafted in Turkey — the historic cradle of the towel since the 7th century.

Certified household linen
We are committed to responsible practices. Accordingly, the majority of our bed linen is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (CQ 1377/1, IFTH).
More than 95% of our bath linen is also certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (IS025 15777, OETI or 98.T.1105, HOHENSTEIN or 2668CIT, CITEVE).

A PROGRAM FOR REPURPOSING MATERIALS
At Bonsoirs, we believe our responsibility does not end at purchase. That is why, from the beginning, we have implemented concrete initiatives to repurpose and upcycle materials.
You can return your old sheets to us (Bonsoirs or not). We work with Tizu to recycle them into textile furnishings. Since 2021, more than 4,000 packages have been repurposed.
Among our other initiatives is the creation of a 100% recycled towel.

OUR FIRST CARBON ASSESSMENT
In 2022, we conducted our first carbon assessment—an essential step in shaping our emissions-reduction pathway. We act at every stage: choosing natural materials such as linen, integrating recycled or lower-impact fibers like Tencel®, supporting product care to extend lifespan, optimizing transport, and raising awareness among all stakeholders. Unsold or returned items that cannot be resold are redirected, notably through donations to charities. Every measure counts.
